Crane Meadows

​Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1992 to preserve a large, natural wetland complex. The refuge is located in central Minnesota, County of Morrison in the Little Falls Township and serves as an important stop for many species of migrating birds.

​Soo Line Trail

The Soo Line Trail is a beautiful ATV Trail that begins just South of Little Falls Township in Morrison County, near the community of Royalton and stretches 27 miles to the Mille Lacs County border. Many nearby communities offer parking and direct access to the trail. The trail is provided by Morrison County and the Eastern Morrison County 4 Wheelers Club.

​Landfill

The Morrison County Solid Waste Management Facility is located 2.7 miles east of US Highway 10 on County Road 35 (Iris Road) in Little Falls Township.  Many services are offered at the Facility:
​
  • Solid Waste Disposal. The Solid Waste Management Facility is site to a state-of-the-art municipal solid waste landfill.  The landfill accepts solid waste from residential, commercial and industrial sources.  Solid waste generated within Morrison County is accepted from licensed solid waste haulers and self-hauling individuals.
  • Demolition Debris Disposal. Demolition debris is accepted at the demolition landfill located within the Solid Waste Management Facility.  Demolition debris generated within Morrison County is accepted from licensed solid waste haulers and self-hauling individuals.  For more information on demolition, please see the demolition page.
  • Household Hazardous Waste Disposal. The Solid Waste Management Facility operates a household hazardous waste facility on a seasonal basis.  This facility is open April 15 through September 30 each year.  Household hazardous waste drop-off is at no charge.  For more information on this facility, please see the household hazardous waste page.
  • Residential Recycling. Residentially generated recyclable material is accepted at the Morrison County Solid Waste Management Facility year-round.  This is a self-serve area, and is open during the Facility’s business hours.  Recycling drop-off is at no charge.
